Wildfire 1937 Chevy Truck Rat Rod 4X4
Its new life started when the 1937 Chevy truck cab and bed was located behind a barn in the South Texas area. The body was then mated to a 1998 Chevy 4x4 chassis.
This build was based on back-road prohibition style. It's been in one car show since completed and won people's choice over 150 other cars.
It gets so much attention- every single person takes pictures and wants to talk about it. When driving it, be prepared to talk. People will follow you around.
It was in about 1000 photos over the few hours of the car show.
Wildfire may look old but she has all the modern features such as a fuel injected v350. 4L60E four speed automatic transmission. Power brakes, power steering and 44" tires.
The headlights came off an early 1930 Caddy and the grill off a Ford, recombined in traditional rat rod fashion. The body even features a few bullet holes.
The tail lights are mason jars and red LEDs.
The battery is in an old Dr. Pepper cooler in the bed of the truck.
